Easy Plate – Enterobacteriaceae (EB)

Description

Easy Plate EB is a specialised prepared media plate to cultivate Enterobacteriaceae. It comprises Violet Red Bile Glucose (VRBG) media and a gelling agent soluble in cold water, aiding in the enumeration of colonies. Colonies can be readily distinguished within 24±1 hours. Easy Plate EB is available in 100-test packages, divided into four separate bags of 25 tests each. Its shelf life is 12 months when stored unopened at 2-8℃.

Colouring of Plate Surface

The gelled medium contains the pH indicator neutral red (red colonies) and crystal violet that causes EB colonies to turn red.
