Description

Ultimate Shoe Cleanliness For Employee Entrances

Ideal for facility entrances from outside due to the high dirt absorbing volume and wide-mesh grates. Especially suitable for the cleaning of coarsely profiled soles.

Dirt Trap

To prevent dirt from spreading within production and logistics halls, it is collected in a collecting tray under the cleaning mats. Choosing the right tub height depends on three crucial factors:

Requirements: Before making a decision, it must be clear what the site looks like, whether cleaning should take place inside, outside or both, and how wide the passageways are.

Vehicles and frequency: Which vehicles cross the clean-walking zone? Do shoe treads also need to be cleaned? How many crossings are made per day? If the frequency is higher, we recommend using a deeper tray because more dirt can be collected.

Maintenance intervals: The deeper the tray, the more dirt can fit in it and the longer the cleaning interval. This saves you work because the drip trays need to be cleaned less often.

Modular system

The ProfilGate® clean-off zone modules are available in two standard widths, which can be combined individually (see drawing). This means we can adapt them optimally to the requirements of your production and logistics halls.

You give us the dimensions of the entrances and transitions in which you would like to use our clean-walking zones and we will put together the right modules to fit you perfectly.

Of course, we are also happy to personally advise you on site and take the measurements ourselves.

Determining the correct cleaning field length

Based on the evaluation by the Fraunhofer IPA Institute and IBELIN Laboratory, we know exactly at what length our clean-walking zones achieve their optimal cleaning effect. To get a rough estimate of this, you can use the following rules of thumb for planning:

Transport vehicles:  At least three tire revolutions are enough to remove 80% of the dirt. This means that the cleaning area should be at least 3 – 4 times the tread of the largest tire circumference to be cleaned.

Shoe soles:  To clean shoe soles, each foot with a normal stride length should have at least four to six contacts with the cleaning field.

Of course, the conditions on site play a crucial role in the exact planning. This includes the type of vehicle and dirt, dry or wet cleaning and much more. If you have any questions on the subject, we will be happy to advise you.
